Established in 1870 as the Angulugaha Methodist Mixed School with just 12 students, Angulugaha Maha Vidyalaya has grown into a leading educational institution in the Galle District. Initially managed under the supervision of the Methodist Church, the school experienced rapid development after being taken over by the government in 1940. It was classified as a junior school in 1963 and was upgraded to a Maha Vidyalaya on September 1, 1977, adopting the name Angulugaha Maha Vidyalaya. Since then, through the development of infrastructure, educational resources, and various improvement projects, the school has continued to progress and today stands as a distinguished institution committed to providing quality education and nurturing excellence among its students.
Vision: To become the most outstanding school in the Habaraduwa Education Division.
